register smart-license cisco on ASR9K with usefull commands and solution when we have issue with registering

 

In questo post si evidenziano i comandi utili da adottare per la registrazione della smart-license cisco per un ASR9K e quali comandi utili risolvono un eventuale failed della registrazione stessa.

Il diagramma illustra una modalità con una connessione diretta over Internet tra il router che richiede la registrazione ed il sito tool.cisco.com backend server:

 

 

 

 

Usefull Command (in config mode)

 

admin

license smart register <idtoken>

commit 

 

 

E’ probabile che pur avendo dato questi comandi la registrazione non vada a buon fine; il router ci mostra la seguente informazione:

 

RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:Jun 16 10:49:46.597 UTC: smartlicserver[171]: %LICENSE-SMART_LIC-3-AGENT_REG_FAILED : Smart Agent for Licensing Registration with Cisco licensing cloud failed: Fail to send out Call Home HTTP message

RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:Jun 16 10:49:46.597 UTC: smartlicserver[171]: %LICENSE-SMART_LIC-3-COMM_FAILED : Communications failure with Cisco licensing cloud: Fail to send out Call Home HTTP message

Jun 16 13:26:32.613 call_home/error 0/RSP0/CPU0 t1574 SMART-LICENSE-ERROR: smart_license_req_http_send[164], Failed to send request to all URLs.

 

 

La soluzione a questo problema è dato dall’inserimento di questi ulteriori usefull command:

license smart register <idtoken> force
